Exports of manufacturing-based products have increased significantly due to the Make-in-India programme, leading to a huge growth in employment opportunities in the country, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Thursday.
The Railways, Communications and Electronics & IT Minister told reporters here that earlier the services sector used to dominate the export figures, but pharmaceuticals, mobile phones and merchandise have replaced it now.
