Maharashtra FDA chief pitches for Make in India in food processing
Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Harshdeep Kamble has said the present environment is “conducive” to taking up the government’s flagship Make in India programme in the food processing sector.
“The food processing sector has immense potential for future growth that needs to be further tapped against the global landscape. The present environment in conducive to Make in India in the sector and needs to be backed by innovation and technology,” Kamble said.
